What is Pakology?

Pakology is an innovative conversion of duffel bag to a jacket and vice versa. The uniqueness lies in the way the jacket and duffel interact, for they are constructed as one unit--not separate pieces.

History of Pakology
Pakology was created by David Smith/Smithco, Inc.--a 60-year old apparel manufacturer located north of Boston. Known for quality sportswear and an excellent industry reputation, David Smith customers included companies like Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord and Taylor, Orvis, Norm Thompson, etc., as well as leading golf country clubs throughout the USA and Great Britain. Pakology was first introduced at a recent Ryder Cup Golf Tournament with GoPak, an 18-inch duffel bag that converts to a hooded water-repellent jacket made of nylon oxford cloth. Simply unzip the duffel bag and the jacket appears as duffel slides into a large concealed pocket inside back of jacket. Thousands of GoPaks were sold at the event to corporations and spectators alike. GoPak was so well received that a decision was made by Smithco to create a Pakology series, --i.e., GoPak, GolfPak, Weather Pak, Anorak Pak, Fleece Pak, Sport Utility Pak (SUP), Sling Pak.
